Home Depot FREE Kids Workshop: Registration Open!

Register for the FREE In-store Kids Workshop at Home Depot where kids can create projects and take them home. It is held once a month and each child can create and bring home a newly constructed wooden project, a Kids Workshops apron, an achievement pin, and a certificate.

What Day is Home Depot Workshop Held?

Home Depot Kids Workshops are held every first Saturday of each month between 9 AM to 12 PM for FREE, while supplies last. Registration for each project opens a month before the actual workshop.

What will kids do at the workshop?

Kids will get to build a wooden craft project and paint them. This free hands-on learning experience encourages skill-building and creativity in children like following step-by-step instructions, working with hand tools like hammers and screwdrivers, and painting it.

The Workshops are hosted by store associates who also serve as Workshop Captains.

How to Register

To attend the Home Depot Kids Workshop, visit Home Depot’s website a month once registration opens for the particular workshop you wish to attend. To register:

  1. Visit the “Workshops” page
  2. Click the “Sign up” button
  3. Fill-up the Form (parent or guardian’s name, e-mail, number of kids attending), and the workshop your kid will be attending. Make sure to choose the right Home Depot location).
  4. Click “Register” to reserve your spot.

The workshop may not be available in your area. Make sure to call your local store to confirm availability. Also, I highly recommend registering early, spots fill out fast.

What age group is the workshop suitable for?

The Home Depot Kids Workshop is designed for children ages 5 to 12. You will be able to register up to 4 kids when you sign up for the workshop.

Do I need to bring my tools and materials?

No, all tools and materials will be provided by Home Depot but do arrive early as materials and kits can run out even if you registered. Besides the project kit, kids will also be provided with an apron, an achievement pin, and a certificate.

Can parents attend the workshop with their children?

Parents or guardians should accompany their child to help them complete the workshop as they will be using a hammer, nails, and paint to complete their little project.

How long does the workshop take?

The kits vary by design and skill level, but on average, they take approximately 30 minutes to build and paint.
